Open Door
Working on a play? Are you at the point where you want to hear your work read outloud and get some feedback from others? Then the Open Door sessions are for you! Dramaturge Ellen Peterson facilitates the process, providing useful advice for playwrights wanting to develop, test, and improve their plays.
Readings are usually held every second Wednesday in the Rory Runnells Studie, 504-100 Arthur St. in Artspace.

Sidney and Margaret Jarvis Playwrights Resource Centre
The Sidney and Margaret Jarvis Playwrights Resource Centre (Jarvis Centre) is a library/archive/and theatre resource centre aimed at the community. Its current holdings include a Canadian plays library, an archive (additions every year) of Manitoba plays in manuscript, an archive of work developed by Theatre Projects Manitoba, and the now defunct Agassiz Theatre, as well as publications and resources for the public, with an emphasis on theatre students and researchers. This Centre is a consolidation by the Manitoba Association of Playwrights of its growing collection of plays, and archival material. The Centre's initial funding was generously supplied by Gary Jarvis in memory of his parents.
