The Burns Classroom, 2nd floor of Artspace (100 Arthur St., Winnipeg), featuring holiday plays, poems, songs, and recitations by friends of MAP, ending with an impromptu reading of Veralyn Warkentin's version of "A Christmas Carol". Delicious baking for sale! And a silent auction for some great pieces of art! Come share the holiday spirit and support MAP at the same time.
Readers include: Armin Wiebe, Carolyn Gray, Deb Patterson, Struts and Frets Theatre, Jane Burpee, Scott Douglas, Kevin Longfield and family, Marina Stephenson Kerr, Bill Kerr, Tom Keenan, Stefanie Wiens, Angus Kohm, Conrad and Beau Sweatman, and others.
Art Auction,
Here's how it works: You see one of the fabulous pieces of art that have been donated to MAP, and you think, "I have to have that!" Then you write down your name and your bid. Then someone else comes along and says, "The heck with you! That art shall be MINE" And they write down their name and higher bid. And then you wander by some time later and see their bid and think, "Well, we'll see about that," and write a higher bid. And then ... well, you get the idea.
